Summer Camps in France for 2026: Paris, Nice, Antibes & Beyond

France is one of the more underrated camp destinations — most families think of it as a vacation spot, not a camp spot. But there are some genuinely excellent English-language programs, especially in Paris and along the Riviera. And the bonus of France is that once camp ends for the day, you're in France. The food, the trains, the beaches — it's hard to beat.

Here's everything I've found across Paris and the south.
Paris
Le Petit Cours du Rocher
A charming bilingual English-French day camp for ages 3–6, running the 2nd and 3rd weeks of July only. Activities include outdoor play, arts and crafts, music, movement, role-play, and picnics at Parc Monceau. Led by native-speaking teachers with weekly registration. If you have a little one and you're in Paris for just a week or two, this is a lovely, intimate option.
Ages: 3–6 | Type: Day camp | Language: Bilingual English-French | Season: July (limited weeks)
Forest International School of Paris
A bilingual day camp for ages 2–12 running most of July and the last week of August. Hot lunch, snacks, and materials are included. They even offer a free shuttle from St-Germain-en-Laye. Activities span outdoor adventures, creative workshops, and hands-on learning. One of the more comprehensive Paris options.
Ages: 2–12 | Type: Day camp | Language: Bilingual | Season: July & late August
The American School of Paris
English-language day camp for ages 3–18 in week-long sessions near Parc de Saint-Cloud. Younger kids do drama, crafts, and comedy. Teens get journalism, audio storytelling, and CV building — which is a refreshingly different approach. A strong pick for families who want a familiar American school structure.
Ages: 3–18 | Type: Day camp | Language: English
French Riviera
International School of Nice
A year-round English day camp for ages 4–16 with half and full-day options. Activities include football, tennis, dance, sailing, leadership training, cooking ("Top Chef" sessions), and magic shows. All-inclusive pricing with meals. If you're spending time in Nice, this is one of the most flexible and well-rounded options on the Riviera.
Ages: 4–16 | Type: Day camp | Language: English | Season: Year-round
KidooLand Holiday Camps
An English-language day camp in Antibes/Vallauris for ages 4–12 (limited spots for 12–16). Runs Monday to Friday with themed weekly programming. Hours are 9:00–17:00 with extended care available. Notable for being a neuro-inclusive environment — something very few European camps explicitly offer.
Ages: 4–16 | Type: Day camp | Language: English | Season: Weekly sessions
Centre International d'Antibes — Cannes
A French language immersion sleepaway camp for ages 12–17 (separate tracks for 12–15 and 16–17). Runs late June through mid-August. Activities include sailing, snorkeling, treetop adventures, and trampoline parks. Also available in Antibes and Juan-les-Pins. If your teen wants to actually learn French in an immersive setting, this is the real deal.
Ages: 12–17 | Type: Sleepaway | Language: French immersion | Season: Late June–mid August
Paris with Kids: What to Do
Since a lot of families base themselves in Paris, here are my top picks:
- Aquarium de Paris — Right near the Eiffel Tower. Buy tickets in advance. They have mermaids on weekends.
- Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie — Book a timed slot for La Cité des Enfants ahead of time. It fills up.
- Luxembourg Gardens — Paid playground (worth it), antique carousel, and boat sailing in the fountain.
- Angelina Hot Chocolate — Tourist favorite but genuinely amazing. Go early or use the outdoor cart to skip the line.
- The Catacombs — Great for older kids and teens. Advance tickets required.
Easy Train Trips from Paris
One of the best things about basing in Paris is how connected it is:
- Annecy — 4 hours. Alpine lake town, stunning.
- La Rochelle — 2.5–3 hours. Beach town with a great aquarium.
- Île de Ré — 2.5–3 hours. Quiet island, family-friendly beaches.
- Antibes + Juan-les-Pins — 5–5.5 hours. Beach + camps on the Riviera.
